Besides launches the new CB 500 trio in Malaysia two days ago, Boon Siew Honda also released another dual-purpose bike – CRF250M at the same event. Previously, the new CRF250L has been launched on Ogos 2012 that projects the ruggedness and versatility for off road riding.
According to Honda, the Supermoto (or Motard) CRF250M was built with fun and practicality in mind combines the best qualities of both dirt and street motorcycles; the revised suspension for long-travel suspension, uprated front brake and 17-inch wheels with wider road tyres set to serve the best in cornering ability with its tyre grip.
The engine equipped with liquid-cooled 4-stroke single cylinder 250cc DOHC engine that produces smooth and consistent torque at low rpm while best at higher rpm with its bore x stroke (76mm x 55mm). The result is a well-balanced and usable delivery throughout the entire rev-range. Maximum power output is 17.0kW @ 8,500rpm with torque of 22.0Nm @ 7,000rpm.
A compact, low friction roller/rocker arm and cylinder head plus PGM-FI injection systemwith 36mm throttle bore ensure combustion efficiency resulted better fuel efficiency at 34.0km/L (WMTC) equipped in the 7.7 litre fuel tank. The six-speed gearbox drives a 39T rear sprocket; taller gearing than the CRF250L allows for the change in wheel diameter and produces more relaxed cruising at higher speeds.
The CRF250M equipped with steel twin oval-section main spars and semi-double cradle, aluminium swing arm, top and bottom bridge and Pro-Link rear suspension linkages are in stealthy black paint gives a mysterious feel for people. The 43mm Showa inverted fork wears a black Alumite surface finish. Heavier weight springs are used for more effective on-road performance. The rider is able to enjoy the bike while there is plenty of space to move forward or back on the seat.
In order to provide excellent stopping power and control, the 296mm floating front disc and twin –piston caliper as does the rear 220mm disc and single –piston caliper functioning in great performance. The wider 17-inch wheels wear a 110/70-17 for front tyre and 130/70-17 for rear tyre. Coming with lower overall stance, the side stand is also shorter.

An O2 Lambda sensor works in conjunction with a secondary air injection system making the CRF250M complying the Euro III emissions regulations. The digital instrument cluster contains a fuel meter, with built-in clock and twin trip functions. The CRF-inspired headlight visor protects the instruments and houses an H4 60W/55 bulb.
The Honda CRF250M comes in the colour of Extreme Red and will be available at all authorized Honda Impian Shop. However, the official price of CRF250M only will be announced in near future soon. The CRF250M come with 2 years or 20,000km Manufacturing Warranty.
